Hey! It’s your blood pressure!

Hey! It’s your blood pressure!

You may not know me, but I know you. Who am I? Oh, so you don’t think I am important if I’m too high? Well, allow me to introduce myself. My name is The Silent Killer, quietly putting pressure on all of the arteries that go through the
organs in your body. I work patiently in the background, being ignored, while you go about your life……until I’m not.

If you let me stay too high, I start damaging your organs as I go. I especially like to wreak havoc in arteries that go to the
brain, heart, eyes, legs, sexual body parts and kidneys. A blood pressure that stays consistently above 130/80 needs your attention.

You better check on me!

 Get a blood pressure machine with an arm cuff and start checking your blood pressure at home.
 Stop eating processed food and salty snacks.
 Start eating more fresh food prepared at home, like vegetables and fruit and lean meats like big chicken, turkey, and fish.
 If your blood pressure is too high, DO something about it, instead of ignoring it because you don’t feel bad.
 Go to the doctor and get your blood pressure checked at least once a year. Work with your doctor to get your blood pressure down and keep it down.
You may want to hide from me but don’t. You take care of me and I’ll take care of you.

Love,
Your Blood Pressure
