I Am Sugar And I Am NOT Your Friend.

You are in love with me. You like me because I am sweet and because I make you feel good. To maintain your health and prevent illnesses, you MUST break up with me and end our relationship.

It’s not you, it’s me…………I am no good for you. Eating sugar puts you at higher risk for fat depositing in your organs, including causing fatty liver disease, colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, depression, kidney disease, weight gain and obesity. Eating sugar puts you at risk for developing heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, problems with thinking and increases your risk for developing dementia, including Alzheimer’s type dementia. Sugar can cause cavities, joint pain, aging of the skin on your face and impair sexual function and appetite control.

Sooooooo……………….

  • Stop drinking sodas, sweetened beverages, coffee drinks, sweetened teas and fruit juices.
  • Start drinking only water and zero sugar beverages.
  • Alcohol is sugar and is worse when you add juices, honey, sodas, sugar and agave………period.
  • Stop adding sugar to your food and beverages.
  • Eat more fresh food, including fresh fruit and fresh vegetables.
  • Stop eating foods that are sweetened, like yogurts, cereals, sweet salad dressings, smoothies that have ingredients with added sugar, like juices.
  • Stop eating cakes, cookies, donuts, pies, donuts, ice cream, frozen desserts, pastries etc.
  • Stop eating prepared and processed foods that come in cans, boxes and packages that have nutrition labels on them. If you do, read the labels. Everything thing in a package or container should be sugar free or at least VERY low in sugar…………no package, NO SUGAR.

These are words to look for on food labels that mean sugar (and this is not all of them)…….ANY words that include the word SUGAR and SYRUP, agave, barley malt, beet sugar, cane juice, dextrin, dextrose, fructose, fruit juice, glucose, honey, lactose, maltodextrin, maltol, maltose, mannose, molasses, saccharose, sucrose, sorghum, treacle.
